Ah, how I love palominos! Such a treat to draw this horse, especially on a beach aswell
Nothing I love more than nice, warm, Summery pictures to lighten up the mood in Winter. Hope you like it Jess, and thank you again Mel for everything!

How much time did you need for such a painting?

Usually they take about 6-10 hours to make, depending on how good the reference is, how detailed the horse is and how much background there is

Wow... I can't judge it, but I think it's a really hard work, isn't it? It's at least hard for the eyes, right?
I mean... I save it, if I sit for the computer for more hours.

Agreed! I knew a palomino stallion once...one of the sweetest horses I've ever met. He was so pretty. All creamy and gold and just gorgeous. Till he rolled in the mud, and then it was like...well...not so pretty. xD The colors really do work well together ^^ I think it might have been too jarring with another bold color. Like black or bay. Even white.

Aww I've never actually seen many palominos in real life before, only on pictures and stuff! I guess that's why I like them so much aswell compared to the common brown or chestnut colours.

They don't seem to be very common. In fact now that you say that, I think that stallion is the only one I've ever been close enough to touch...aside from the occasional one in a field, you know. Standing in a field with 20+ horses and not a palomino in sight. What's with that?
I don't have anything against the common colors, but I adore the more unusual ones. Which is why I was so glad my horse is...well...we're not quite sure what color he is.
