Description
For the Wardrobe task of featuring Dormer!Outfit consists of:
Pointy hat
Stripey leg warmer/sock things
Assorted tassely bits
1 piece shirt? Robe? You decide
Note: He usually doesn't wear any clothes at all. These are some traditional/formal harpe garbs for special occasions (except the "socks", he'll wear those when he's cold- since they're one of the only parts of his body not covered in feathers.)
The holes on the sides are huge to accommodate for wings.
The tassels on either side of his hat are different colors (pink on the right, yellow for the left) since those are the colors often associated with the right and left eyes. Middle, or the third eye is usually green.
Dormer also has many other pairs of those sock things (some are gaudier than others). Harpe don't have "regular" socks (although these are very normal for them) because their toe claws would tear holes in them anyway. So like "toeless" socks.
Still messing around with ways to do line art and shading, thankfully OC Training is giving me lots of opportunities! Almost didn't make it in time, but I had today off from work. Was finishing this in between making pie crusts for Thanksgiving ha.
Any and all critiques are appreciated! Still trying to figure out wings...

This is a good piece of worldbuilding. I find it's quite difficult to put clothes on characters that have wings, and you did great job at it! The color scheme and designs on the clothing are very nice as well. Does he personally like blue? Or does it have some wider cultural significance?

Thanks! I mostly picked blue because it's difficult to find colors that look good with that particular shade of red XD

I love the eye symbols on his garments as well as the bright greens decorating him (it goes lovely with those bright red wings). His socks are really cute and I like how his garments accommodate his wings and claws.

As for trouble with the wings I feel you on that //wheeze//, what references do you use? Figuring out how wings are structured may help you with positioning them, I think. ^^
Anyhow, those socks are brilliant - they look very comfy, and I can see why he likes wearing them. ^^

I usually just use Google images and see what I can find. For my harpe I mostly look at bat wings, since their hands stick out (what their "pinky finger" would be is the outer part of the actual wing). I use bird wings (usually sparrows, because they flap) mostly for feather reference.
I made my life difficult because I effectively gave them flappy (as opposed to gliding) feathered pterodactyl wings. Which as far as I'm aware didn't exist.

Ever heard of Hoatzins? (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoatzin ) They also have flappy wings with little claws - maybe it'll help you get an idea how to position both claw and feathers!
