Round one of , the guessing round!I did this picture wayyy ahead of time.. and I've improved since then... I really hate the shading now. But I am NOT doing it again- those flowers man... those flowers.
Anyway, happy guessing! Can't wait to see what you think of her ^_^
Now that the round is underway a bit, I'll give a few hints..
1. The picture is more symbolic than literal, sometimes animals mean more than 'just animals'. Types of animals, what they're doing and even their color can mean different things. Same with flowers, sometimes they mean more than 'nature/flowers'.Β
2. In addition, everything is important! Even certain tiny details not prominent in the picture. Some things not even in the picture!
3. Form your own opinions. Now this goes for any Guess Who, and have fallen victim to this myself. Don't let the other comments influence your decision too much, the majority isn't always right.
4. A few of you have actually guessed correctly! And pretty much everybody has some element of it correct

She would have no gripes with the fact she's the goddess of death, it really depends on the personality really.
Her nephew-in-law is the god of souls, anyway. And his father is the god of corpses and ruler of the Underworld.

Well she already deals with some pretty blunt people (ie. Consilium, he tells it the way is- sprinkled with colorful vocabulary) though I'm not sure how she would handle someone with less emotional expression. Though it may be a nice break from her husband, who breaks down in tears over just about anything.

Whoa, I love her design!! She seems extremely peaceful,Β patient, and loves nature. Maybe some kind of gardener? Or a traveller of some type? Maybe just a sightseer. I like her freckles, and you did really well with shading and coloring.

She is a gardener or else someone who really likes to be around nature and loves animals very much. She spends her time tending to the garden and taking care of her pets.Β

It looks like she's a calm, peaceful sort of person who enjoys the company of animals and the presence of nature. She seems elegant and refined, but also willing to deal with others on their level, as they are. (I love her design btw. Freckles have always been one of my weaknesses.)Β Β

It's always interesting to learn which task a given character gives you the most trouble with. Sometimes I have a lot of trouble doing anger right after fear because the emotions are so closely linked together, and I don't want to repeat myself. I'm looking forward to whatever you do come up with when the time comes.

I'm guessing Fortuna is some kind of goddess of the earth, possibly the mother goddess, and, since you say this is a symbolic picture, I'll say the cat might represent yin and yang. All of the 4 leaf clovers in her hair and her name itself make me think that she might be considdered a sign of good luck.

She actually the goddess of luck, beauty and song. The flowers were meant to represent Beauty, and the bird to represent Song. But it's a good guess!

Well...Fortuna I know is a roman goddess of fortune and luck. But maybe here she's a goddess of animals and flora life. Looks lovely!

Awww, she looks like an animal lover. Someone who lives off the land in the forest. She has a very lovely dress and the flowers are gorgeous. She takes good care of herself. I wonder if she's a nymph.

She does like animals, although more when they are welcome- like her cat Lucky. (Not so much like Richie and Panda, two raccoons that her husband... adopted.. after he made the mistake of giving them peanut butter.)
She doesn't live off the land currently, but when she was "born" (more info in the profile eventually) she did live on an island for a while.

I join the other guessers in saying that she is a goddess of nature who can talk to animals. Perhaps the bird acts like a messenger, bringing her news about people or other places, judging by her focused expression. She can perhaps make flowers and greenery spring at will, hence the abundance of flowers around her matching those on her dress. The clovers might suggest that her powers have something do to with luck or good destiny, and (even if that isn't the case) they are a nice addition to those flowers!

She is the Goddess of Luck! (And Beauty.. and Song.) She can only talk to cats, snakes and swans.. phoenix jays are not included. But being the goddess of Song, songbirds are naturally attracted to her and trust her.
She can't grow plants, but she was formed out of a tree. As gods are.. unconventionally born.
If she tried to grow plants she's probably under of over water them. And then forget about them. And they would die. She has a relatively short attention span.

To me she seems like a guardian of plants and nature (possibly a dryad).Β She is a gentle soul that loves all living things.Β In any case she seems like a very kind person.

I want to be where she is Such a lovely garden! 
Fortuna appears to have a gentle nature (HA!) and an affinity for both flora and fauna. She has strong ties with nature - animals feel soothed and at ease in her presence, and flowers bloom in abundance. Maybe she can talk to birds, too; she seems to be listening attentively to the little bright bird perched on her finger (or maybe she just likes its song). She probably prefers their company to humans, even though she would probably not be unkind to any living creature. Due to the flowers in her hair and on her dress, I feel like she has a strong connection to her environment - is she a (minor) goddess of some sort (Mother Nature, or the Lady of Luck?), a nature spirit (or (urban) legend/myth, like your previous enrollee?), or perhaps just a woman who is really into aesthetics?Β

She's the goddess of Luck, Beauty and Song! Songbirds are just naturally attracted to her because of her Song govern, and the cat is her pet cat, Lucky.
The flowers are there mostly because I couldn't figure a good way to represent Beauty.. I guess that led people astray. She does like going hiking and taking nature walks though!
She would love to have a garden but she's so easily distracted she would forget to water them..
She also CAN talk to animals, as all my gods can, but only specific ones associated with her (swans, snakes, cats) and even then only if they're in Tier 1 (I'll explain Tiers in my profile).
(And yes, those flowers took ages)
