You guys basically know Melvin, Timmy, and Ty’s family. But I never did mention the others very well. It took some thought, but I am kind of happy how it worked out. So yeah read below if you want some sort of idea of their families. :3

Gray Family.
It’s a very simple story line. I like to keep contrast simple.
Sarah Gray is a single mother. She adopted Penny, at the age of 25. Ms. Gray is very strong minded, and intimidating, but to her daughter she is the nicest person in the world. Ms. Gray promised Penny a future that she deserves, that everyone deserves, to have options available. With that thought in mind, Sarah ran for Mayor and won by a landslide. With her promise still in progress, she helped Penny figure out her life. They found out who exactly was her biological father. The shock got to Penny, and for a while, she couldn’t imagine what would happen to her after the discovery. Would she turn into the same goop monster? Could she be evil too? Convinced that she was lost, Sarah knew that she had to remind her daughter who she was, and who she could be. As mayor, she talked to the leader of the teen titans, and asked for recruitment opportunities. Robin did research on the girl, and said they would watch over her, and within three years he will give her an answer. Three years passed, and penny wasn’t aware of the deal made, until robin showed up with a communicator in hand. The mayor told her that she could reject or accept the invitation. It was up to her, if she wanted to move on, and prove to herself that she was a good person.
She became an honorary titan that day, and was not appointed to a sector until a year later.

Cifuentes Family/Back story

Honestly, I was stuck in creating a back story for Mas y Menos. That and giving them names…
In the end, their lives were inspired by family history. I based them off of my grandparents.

Floricelda and Alberto Cifuentes lived in the mountains of Guatemala. Poverty was always an issue where they lived, but it didn’t matter. They wanted children badly, but never could. With no real medical attention, the pregnancies ended in miscarriages. Their blood line was decreasing. One pregnancy went through, and it was a healthy baby boy. That boy grew up to the age of 17 and fell in love with a young girl. They were married, and his parents couldn’t be any more proud. She was pregnant with a child a year later. Money was still scarce, so the son had to work in the city, and come back home every by bus. One night, he didn’t come home. The next day, the family had heard what happened. The son was shoved out of a packed bus while moving. He was dead. Even more tragedy occurred, when the pregnant woman delivered. A set of male twins were born, but her petite body could not recover from the shock. She died as well.

Mas y Menos grew up with their grand parents in Guatemala. The parents felt that the twins were a blessing from above for living through the pregnancy, and even more so when their powers started to develop. The two saw those kids and had good faith in the future of their lives. They wished for the best, and gave them all their love. One day, when they turned six, a teenager showed up with funny spiked hair, and colorful clothes. He told them about an opportunity for the amazing twins, that they could live in America and become heroes to many. Although it broke their hearts, to see the last of their bloodline, and their own grandchildren leave, they knew it was for the best. The children deserved more than dirt roads and boiled water.
The twins didn’t want to leave at first. They loved their home, the loved their grand parents. The grandparents told them that it was alright, that they had to go and be better than this. That they would have more fun in America than where they were.
The kids promised to visit often. The grand parents understood that if they didn’t, it would mean that they moved on from their old lives and got better ones in America. It was all for the best really.

They kept their promise, regardless of their new exciting life. They never missed a mothers day, a fathers day, Christmas, Birthdays. They always remembered them.

And that’s my story for them. I honestly think this is my favorite story. The reason being is because this is a bit of my mom’s history mixed with my uncle…
