Once again we check in with the Free Radicals.

The show experienced waning popularity after the turn of the millenium, and was finally cancelled in 2003. After much discussion and negotiations with the network for the rights to their personas; the team decided to stay together as a real superhero team. With the exception of Aurora.

Alissa Rosenberg quit the team and superheroing altogether when the show was cancelled. She became a writer, and her first book: "And Playing Themselves...", a tell-all expose on the Free Radicals television show was a massive hit. She continues to write, although her work has switched to more general fiction; she's doing fairly well for herself.

Now that they were on their own, the team decided to give themselves a new look; something more uniform to really show that they were a real team and not television characters anymore. After several long, heated debates, the only color scheme they could all agree on was plain black and white.

Twenty year old Lady Eagle, who had changed her name from "Baby" when she turned eighteen.

Twenty-two year old Lightning Girl. The girls helped eachother come up with their costumes, mutually agreeing that they should be wearing something sexier.

Twenty-five year old Solarflare. His feelings that he should be more protective and responsible had evolved into his taking charge more, and beginning to consider himself the leader of the team. The others didn't necessarily agree, but they tended to follow him in combat, which only reinforced the idea for him.

Twenty-three year old Ironheart. Once the show was cancelled he changed his name from "Lionheart", because "his heart was cold and grey like iron." His problems with depression persisted, as did his gothic fashion sense; and over the next few years his fighting style would become more brutal and reckless.

Twenty year old Twitch. His training to hone his "preaction" skills had calmed him considerably, although he still had a smart mouth and tendency to talk through the team's battles.

We'll check in with the team again in another five years.
