I love it, sweetie!! You always have the best linework. I'm jealous of your knots.

Thanks Iz. Honestly, there's very little I despise more than Celtic Knotwork, but it's so d@mned pretty... It keeps necessitating itself, but hopefully few and far between so I can keep some fraction of my sanity.

Apparently this is really your specialization. An amazing symbol, and great colors.
It looks very occult, and that's definitely a big plus. Do the symbols exist? I only know the Eye of Horus from the symbols I see here.

Seven-pointed star has many definitions/adaptations, primarily it tends to be the morning star/star of lucifer but has older pagan references that have to do with inspiration and balance. The seven chakras are the symbols w/in the second circle, the small simbol in the center I used some poetic license on mixing norse runic, seven symbols put together in one. Aside from that there's the celtic lunar cycle at the bottom & the dragons.

You should check out the band I did this for if you get the chance though, they are... amazing.

Again thank you for the input, I hope you stick around *smiles*

I am so jealous. You are always so sharp and precice, and I think your the celtic style and your knotwork motifs are amazing. The colors are flawless; muted but strong. *I'd* love to have it as a tattoo. The dragons are the classical celti, fluid but fierce, and I really love the two roaring on the bottom. lovely.

Really awesome attention to detail. There are all kinds of interesting elements coming together here; both symbolic and artistic. For instance, i'll tell you what I see:

The celtic references are obvious; that in itself is awesome. Also, the fact that this icon is round denotes a representation of a cycle, a circle, harmony, birth, death, re-birth...The beautiful patterns and symbols within the large circle also represent different aspects of balance; and bring a unifying look to the whole. Even though it is intricate, the color change allows for it to flow together, thus keeping it from appearing too busy. The underlying star adds a contrast to the circle, and implies depth within the artwork. Very cool stuff! it is a fave for sure!

Oh wow that would make a great tat. I have a tat on the inside of my ankle, and I totally hate it, I got it over 10 years ago and I have outgrown it. (Two dolphins in a Yin-Yang. **gag** **puke**) I could myself for getting it. Something like this would be able to cover it nicely. Of course my husband would probably kill me for even thinking about getting another tat. (even tho it would be over the old one) But anywho enough of the blabbering. It is very nice.

It's a very beautiful piece....and reminds me of LotR's for some odd reason. I love your attention to detail, it sticks out dramatically.

Thank you very much, considering the calibre of artists that've worked on LOTR, you just made me a very happy man, thank you

I got a little carried a way when I was told to "bring out the seven-pointed-star" and made it a bit -too- occultic it seems hehe, so I have to shrink the top two points to match the other five, if only I was any good whatsoever in cpu programs :-P

It's alright though, I always find a way.

It's great and wonderful just the way it is..... I'm not sure I would change a thing, If it were my creation. Also if you change it, it may take way from the design it's self. No it's marvalious

I think what he was getting at is that to have the upper two points elongated like that make the piece look more devilish-occultic whereas he's going for a more true occult feel, if that makes sense. It's definitely a pain in my ass to edit it though, and I like the feel of this one here so I won't be posting the edited version anywhere but maybe my scraps.

I can understand what you are saying, and since you, like myself, like this peice. I can see why it would be a struggle with your innerself to change it,
But did you mention to him, that the truer occult version is not the length, but angle and location. Which you most surley do have. Tell him to do a cross referance to the "Wicca Bible" for a more true ruleing's. If he has one, he will find length has no barrier, only thing that is percise is location and closing. Same with Norge, Saxton, and well you get the picture I'm sure.
There is several sites which is on the net wich he can draw referance from also. If need be I can get the site's name for him, just let me know. I know this site has this for Many of their members are customers of mine.
As for this one, I'd keep it for my collection. It deserves the credits.

He's stubborn like the rest of us Zacherl boys, and when we know what we want we usually stick to it. I'm honestly just surprised & glad that he asked me to design it, I don't mind reworking a version for him, I like this one better for myself though and it's tempting to get it inked

Then do it.. I'm sure he wouldn't mind, just ask him if in douth.
