It's interesting that you tried to make this creepy; it gives me just the opposite feeling. The light is warm and kind of comforting, like early morning, and it gives a strange sense of safety just beyond the treeline. Or perhaps I'm subconsciously attributing traits that I've seen in other places.
I like this, anyway. It's also curiously different from your other work.

Beautiful! But it's too brightly lit to appear spooky. A darker background and no colour (the red flowers/leaves) would have echoed the gloom you probably intended. Nonetheless, this is a brilliant creation. "Doorsteps to a hermit's abode."
