CONTEST SUBJECT: The Lemon Maid
Welcome to the official Winter 2017 Concept Contest! We are starting off the new year by heading back into our world of confectionary wonder and awe! This contest is building on the same world as our past candy contests, following our Peppermint Contest from last year!

And this time we are returning to our flourishing candy kingdom with a new character, one that is a visual representation of the "lemon drop" candy.
WHO IS LIL MISS LEMON MAID?
Our subject matter for this contest is a girl who is bold and at times even a bit sour. She is hard to ignore and definitely has a brash personality but works well with most others. She works within the Kingdom's castle as a housekeeper but takes her job quite seriously. The challenge is to create a Lemon Maid character as if you were either a concept artist/illustrator working at a animation studio in today's day and age. We are looking for either a finished concept art piece or a full illustration showing off the character. We are leaving the personality up you as the artist and we love seeing a characters perceived personality in what they wear, the stance, their colors, everything you can include. So have fun with this one and push yourself to create a "sweet" looking lemon drop character!
For this contest, we are looking for you to explore character design, color combinations, and overall presence. There should be a memorable "look" to the final submission that can capture any viewers attention and give you an idea of who that character is. Your creativity is what we are looking for most, so go wild and have fun with a character design that is as equally compelling as it was to create! We are looking for bold and with the color rind of the lemon, that bright yellow should definitely make a statement!
Bottom line: The challenge is to create a character that is memorable and creates inspiration when looking at the final design.
RULES:
The rules are simple and to the point. Submit by the given date and follow the guidelines on creating your Lemon Maid.
Submit your entry by 6PM CST on Thursday, February 23 2017 (-6 GMT time) The winners will be announced on March 1st during the livestream held that Wednesday.
Has to be your own work, concept, or line-art and follow the submission guidelines below. (NO FANART)
Explore your creativity and treat this as if you were a concept artist receiving the task. You want to express your originality within these guidelines to the best of your ability
For the community vote reward, we will be overviewing the users who the images. If duplicated emails or false forum accounts are created to upvote a submission, the image will be disqualified.
