To give more weight to the contest, I have enlisted some frighteningly good artists as guest judges to give insight when choosing their top choices for the golden award! This includes Tim Von Rueden (vonn) , Gawki , Feverworm , Sycra , Jonathan Hamilton (tsuaii), and Sean Price .

SUBJECT: The Boy Witch
Welcome to the Halloween 2016 contest, this is my favorite one each year! We are creating a world and with every year a new character is added. We started with our unnamed vampire with screaming white hair and that idea grew into adding his younger sister and even his best friend (which you can see last years contest HERE ).
BUT NOW, this year, let's stop thinking about creating the protagonists, instead let's go to the darker side, let's create an antagonist! The bad guys are usually more interesting in design and overall personality, so for this year's contest, get into the mindset of creating a villain.
Our subject matter for this contest is a boy witch, not a wizard but a witch, age ranging from 18-22. He is cunning and clever like most witches but has also inherited a keen sense of superiority and can't be bothered with idle chat. He can have a sharp tongue but there's always a dash of dark humor mixed in. He has an eccentric fashion sense and likes new and interesting combinations of colors and patterns. As is typical with witches, he dons a pointed hat and his transportation is a broomstick. And while he shows very little affection towards anyone, he has a small animal companion that he is never seen without.
For this contest, we are looking for you to explore character design, color combinations, and overall presence. There should be a memorable "look" to the final submission that can capture any viewers attention and give you an idea of who that character is. Explore strange fashion and bring a FRESH look on the classic pointed hat and broomstick. Your creativity is what we are looking for most, so go wild and have fun with a character design that is as equally compelling as it was to create!
IMPORTANT: We have a few requirements that the design has to include to be eligible for judging! They MUSThave the following:
Purple/Lavender/Lilac Hair
Yellow, Orange, or Golden Eyes
Must have a Witch Hat!
A small animal companion such as a Cat, Raven, Spider, etc. (it's up to you)
A repeated pattern somewhere on the outfit. (example: stripes)
Bottom line: The challenge is to create a character that is memorable and creates inspiration when looking at the final design.
