Well unfortunately I havn't had the chance to post anything new in a little while. I was a little sick over the weekend and so I thought I'd create a peice from a few older and modern works to show the progression of my designs over several years since I've recieved several great compliments asking how I do what I do. It took me a long time to get where I am and no doubt, I can still improve a lot.Other commitments have kept me from working on a few new images I hope to post soon and some images I just can't post or really talk about without certain permissions.

Another artist friend of mine did a comparison pic of a character she designed showing how she improved. That inspired me to do this piece though with a few more pics to show progression over the years : )

Good lord..! Age 14, first attempt at shading... I was about the same age when did that! Yay! That means I'm going to be good in the future

Wow.. you really improved alot as you got older!! A true mech fan to the core!!!! I have a friend whom is 18 ([link] ) and I feel that his original are not so original... maybe you could give him some pointers to help him move away from gundam look alikes designs. Would be great if you could

If he's looking for pointers, I'm sure I can give some but I try and let younger artists improve on their own without trying to get in their way : )

I love seeing these progression series! Its just so much fun to see ho much an artist has grown over the years... furthermore its interesting to see how much cool stuff even old work had going for it.

I'm amazed at how much I remember about when I was working on those pics. I also wished I could have waited a while longer so it could have been a rounder number like 20 years but apparently I'm impatient : )

Thank you : ) I'm actually working on another tutorial at the moment and I wonder if it'll be my last considering how much time it's eating. Several people have asked about one so I am still thinking about it.
