The 11th drawing of 31. This is Karima Shapandar, the Omega Sentinel. She's fun to draw in a techy kinda way. I think this drawing took me longer than any of the others.Related content

The hair really gets me here; I don't think I could pull that off, the white strands? Maybe it's a black and white drawing technique, but I've been struggling to show texture in blocks of colored hair, lately.
It looks stellar though.

I've always found hair easy to do. Don't know why.

That would be cool, yeah! Looking at it, I think I can figure out. Maybe I'll try it first?
Hair is always fun to do, but lately with the wacom, I find myself using strokes and not really drawing the hair with thought. I can't find a balance between details and then just large blocks of color.

Start thinking in layers. Layers are a good, good thing. it allows you to have larghe blocks of color and create detail. I usually sketch things out rough to get the shape I want and then block out colors and add details.

I do use layers for all the different elements of a figure drawing, and with the hair I'll usually do blocked hair and then a shade lighter or darker to try and play around with texturing, or to show depth.
I'll play with some ideas and then bring it back to you for feedback, if that's alright!
