Not even the finest hyperrealism could make that image look so "real" and alive. I love it

Coming from an artist as talented as you I take that as a real compliment - thank you :Joy:

I believe it was Cornwall but when I was down there last I drove to a beach that I thought was in Cornwall and it turn out to be in Devon, lol. But yeah, that area. Good luck with the photography at the unkempt grave. There is something about graveyards I love; there so peaceful and quiet.

I can get lost quiet easily when I'm just driving. Sometimes it's hard to put a boundary on where I am, lol. In that mode I usually am armed with my camera instead of canvas and paint. It just makes everything even more confusing when I come to identify the photograph of what I am about to paint, lol.

The work done on the ice is great but the sky is a bit too traditional.
Amazing work indeed.

Well, thank you. I had no problem selling this painting; even now it's still a wet canvas. Guess I'll miss it when I dispatch it.

welcome
It's weird as an artist you work on a piece and put all of you in it and there are other people who love it....
I've sold just one painting up til now, but that did gave me sort of a missing feeling....

I sell almost every day now but there was a time when I had sold a painting or drawing and started to miss it even before I'd posted it off, lol.

the thing is I make drawings for myself at the moment, and it sounds very egocentric I know... But I think it's something I'll learn ... I hope

Thank you. This is not a boast but I find the best art does'nt take long to do. I painted this at the end of the day as the natural light started to fail. I wanted it finished that day and in all it took about 30 minutes to complete. Usually a painting that size 30x40cm takes me between 1 and 2 hours to finish. Need I tell you that it is sold already and it's still a wet canvas.

Well done on the sale. I understand completely - I think when we work quickly the flow from inside is better and we stop questioning thus getting the real vib into the artwork. well done.

Thank you. Yes, I agree with you. It was quite a productive day; I did 4 paintings that day and this one (Abstract Ice and Sea) was the last.
