Are these yours? I must say all of them are excellent specimens I like this one the most out of the three however.

These were a part of a garden in Santa Barbara. If they were mine, they would surely be dead- I am terrible with plants!

I hope this is yours. Id love to have a close up, contrasty, b&w shot to see what manipulation that could be done with it. Think elves.... Course I would need a patented Oceanside fog image too!

Unfortunately I don't own it- in Balboa Park, there is a wonderful Japanese garden. They have a variety of bonsai there that seem to rotate or change from time to time; I often see a different one there. They also had an amazing display of embroidery on kimonos the last time we were there!

I love to roam Balboa Park. There's always something to see. The Watercolor society sometimes has their gallery open and then there's always the most interesting people to watch. I hope that they still have the kimonos the next time we go. They always blow my mind and when you think that kimonos today go for $25K and up...

I can see them costing that much if they are embroidered like that, if it is by hand- it has to be months and months of work!

I agree. I consider that these makers are artisans of the highest order...pure masters of their craft seeking perfection in each stitch!
