our story begins on on a narrow gauge railway in Scotland. where an engine named Silver worked, he was named after his livery and this (as well as being the railway's main passenger engine) made the engine very prideful and boastful, often looking around for trainspotters instead of at the tracks, this got him into major trouble one day as he derailed off of a moderately high part of the line, the manager didn't like this, so they took away Silver's name and passenger trains and painted him rust colors, as a warning to what would happen the next time something like that happened, the other engines laughed at him and started calling him Tramp, that annoyed the engine and he started to be rough, after several small derailments, the manager put him in his shed indefinitely, some years later, a man from Sodor came to the railway looking for a strong engine to work on his new industrial line in the mountains of Sodor, Tramp agreed to go, hoping he could get a fresh start, a new name and livery, and maybe a passenger train or two (the area was not road friendly), but he wasn't repainted or renamed, and he was even banned from the coaches, so he was still rough and grumpy, but luckily, he did make two new friends at his new home, (mainly a little green Irish engine who called him Sherman instead of Tramp) nothing major happened to him for years, then one day in early February 2021, the island's engine works were out of brown paint, so he requested to be painted silver, to try and show his controller and the other engines that he was capable with coaches, but the paint just made him boastful and arrogant again, so after venting to his two friends, he found that he should have gone with a new color, so he did, and now he's finally happy, painted in a nice turquoise blue with the name Sherman.
