Some villains and characters in a story can be forgettable, but for me, Junko is unforgettable. It's been a year now since I played through DR1, but I still can clearly recall feeling of dread from holding onto hope when she makes you feel utterly hopeless. It's terrifying! It's even worse when you realize even in defeat, she never loses. She has all the despair to gain from any outcome, and even rigs her schemes to have a chance, however small, to be broken.

Maybe her wish for more and more despair is a twisted hope all its own. Yikes, ha ha!
