I tried writing this comment earlier, but it appears Deviantart didn't post it.

I liked your picture here. So, for personal use, messed around with the image in putting dolphins and fish inside the pill with photoshop.

I'm wondering if you'd have a problem if I were to post this picture on my profile?

For personal use only, I took your picture and composited dolphins and fish into the interior of your pill, here.

The picture turned out rather well and I'm wondering if you'd be willing to permit me to post it on my prophile?

Yes, it's been done. And done. And done. The thing that made me take a look at this one, though, is the stark contrast between the bright red tablet against the white background. This also highlights the air bubbles beautifully. Nice work...

Woah, that's so cool! I applaud your hard work- it really paid off! The color contrast between the pill and the water jumped out at me immediately. I think the colors and the simplicity really gives this photo a lot of punch.

Nice one...
The sore arm.....It was worth it wasn't it...
If you don't mind me asking, Was it a manual, aperture or shutter priority shot ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Changas In reply to KJSummerfield [2006-02-28 11:23:43 +0000 UTC]

alllllllllllll manual my friend. thats the best way to get the most out of your camera. i mean you can use AV and Tv if you want and stuff, but sometimes i find that the automatic light metering isnt as accurate is it should be.. so like when i go out on shoots for people i use AV for convinience and security cos i know that i ownt have over or underexposed shots, but when i'm by myself i like to use manual cos you get better colours and lighting and u have the ability to make it darker or lighter if you want soo yeah,. thats a little something for you to read!

KJSummerfield In reply to Changas [2006-02-28 11:39:59 +0000 UTC]

I use all manual on my Film Slr's..
I will very rarely will I opt for Automatic or shutter/aperture priority...(Only in cases where speed is of the essence)

Indeed,Use of ap/sp/automatic on my older camera's it isn't an issue

I have never used a Digital SLR as of yet....
For some reason I assumed them to be more precise with regards to exposure metering etc..
Getting a prosumer soon...(hopefully within next couple of days..)
Still saving for Digi SLR..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Changas In reply to KJSummerfield [2006-02-28 12:11:36 +0000 UTC]

well the thing about digital SLR's is that they are .. how do we say... with film cameras they are more leniant towards over and underexposure, whereas digital SLRS have a very fine line and often when a light source is even half a stop too bright the digi snesor will blow them out, and thats when u need to use manual settings and such, sometimes its a real pain in the ass, like when you ahve a subject who is only exposed by a single light source, unless you soften the light source the digital sensor does not like it and will blow out images. i used my AV mode in a studio and the highlights were just BLOWN way out, half her face was white and yeah.. not a pretty sight..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KJSummerfield In reply to Changas [2006-02-28 12:38:11 +0000 UTC]

Ahhhhhhhhhhh...
Now, I had been putting that down to my compact Digi...
I thought it was because it was a cheap and nasty one my images were suffering...
( I know it doesn't help...You pay for what you get)
Take my recent shots of my stones...I was having real problems there with digital capture...Yet, I have had some real nice shots on B/W film..
Using the same studio/lighting set up as with film.

So, really, the fact that the sensors are that much more, well sensitive (then chemicals) can be a real pain in the proverbial butt...

Cheers for taking the time to explain mate

Changas In reply to KJSummerfield [2006-02-28 13:20:12 +0000 UTC]

no worries mate. glad i can be of help. but just remember if you are to use some sort of studio shooting and lights wit ha digi cam, just try and diffuse the light and make it a tad softer. make it alot easier for your sensor!

happy shooting!
