i normally fucking hate cat pictures, but this one is really great. Shallow depth and the color progression; black to white back to black makes for an awsome composition. Nice shot

I may be pretty amature, but I can work my way around my aunts 3,000 dollar Nikon. So, yeah

hahah why thankyou very much.. but to be honest i'm also an amateur. *blush* currently i am using the 6.1mp Pentax IST* DL its a good first SLR and it gets the job done. i am however, saving up for a Canon EOS 5D. full frame 12.8mp .. *drool*.. umm but if u were looking to get a GOOD SLR to start with i'd suggest a Canon 20D.. 8MP very nice camera.. if i could i'd go back in time and get a canon instead of pentax as pentax is cheap.. but yeah... canons are great.. if u'd like theres a really good site:

hahaha thats the spirit! if its your first Digi SLR i'd go for something cheap ONLY because. it gives you a feel for the camera and it give you an understanding of apperture and shutter speeds and depth of field etc etc etc.. so i started off with a cheap SLR so i went and bought the Pentax IST*DL. maybe cheap, but now i understand apperture and shutter speed and iso' and i have my cheap camera to thank for it. and trust me... there REALLY isnt a huge difference with cheap slr's and expensive $7000 slr's... but ey.. always something to think about

Stunning close-up, the alternating blacks and whites have a really striking effect and the yellow of the eye just adds that something special to it. I love the expression of curiosity on the cat's face! Great work
