The Sonic fandom has gone from cringeworthy to creepy to downright orwellian. It's practically become an accepted norm for Sonic fans to rally against other Sonic fans that are vocal about whatever criticisms they have with the newer Sonic games. Sonic fans have the mentality that they should just love everything that comes out to them, no questions asked (Even possessing a SJW type mentality, given how far they go to shit on people they deem harmful.)It's just depressing being a Sonic fan, at least for me. I don't want to be within smell range of a fandom with the fear that someone may proverbially stone me to death because, say, I don't like Sonic Forces or whatever.
I await potential scrutiny.

Sonic Unleashed was alright but the werehog stages kinda overstayed their welcome and the medal hunting was a bit tedious.

It just doesn't have much for me to be into. I'm not a big fan of the character creation gimmick, nor Classic Sonic's inclusion.

I definitely agree that classic sonic was not necessary (especially considering that there is already Sonic Mania... which handled the classic gameplay much better IMO). I was hoping that Sonic Forces would dedicate itself more to 3D, although I honestly like the custom character. I think it is allows for a lot of creativity and freedom. I really like that the story is no longer like Colors, Generations, and Lost World, but I can see why you wouldn't like Forces. It's almost like... Sonic Team was kind of holding back.

If you know me actually, I used to be SunsetTwilightNoon in my old account (look at my profile) where I used to rant more about Sonic. But now, since I'm in my new account, I tend to stick more into the mahou shoujo (hence my new username), kirby and other anime and cartoon fandom so I hardly rant about Sonic. Not saying those fandoms are any better but they're still better than MLP and Sonic fandoms. The only thing I do in Sonic nowadays is to just look at some memes, fanart and silly videos about Sonic, that's all.

Chances are, if someone criticises Sonic Forces, you'll see rabid fans saying "stop bitching about it, it's just a game", or "Sonic Team worked hard on this", or "at least we got two games this year" etc.

This day and age, I fear that if I say anything negative about Sonic, it'd lead to Sonic fans wanting to rip my head off. I've been quiet about Sonic since I just abandoned the fandom outright and because of how orwellian it has become.
