I got to see Bat For Lashes perform live the other day!

When I found out she was going to be in NYC I left work early, took a 3 hours bus trip to the city, got stuck in traffic for two extra hours, jogged 16 streets and 4 avenues just to get to the venue on time, and went in alone because my friend bailed on me last minute! I was still so happy to be there that I didn't even care that she bailed, or my leg muscles were spasming, or that I hadn't eaten since breakfast. Bat For Lashes has been my favorite musician since I first heard Daniel back in 2010. I wished I could have stayed for the entire performance, but she went on a little later than I was anticipating and I had to leave early to catch my train.

Anyway, I've been super inspired ever since. Listening to Glass, Dark Time, & Missing Time, I painted up Natasha and her alter ego Pearl!
