I like the almost-square ratio for this scene (did you render that way or crop down?), and I love the idea of a vertical-stacked perspective giving the scene a feeling of a large drop beneath the figure.
It took me a minute to visually sort out what I was looking at above the figure, but when I realized it was another dragon then it gave the scene's story another satisfying dramatic beat.

I think I had experimented with cropping, but then decided against it. So this is the way I rendered it. But then I have very weird ratio's sometimes, I start out with the ratio from the previous scene and then adjust it till I'm happy about the composition.
The large drop down perspective is exactly what I was going for, glad it came across. It's supposed to be a tense moment, when he's surrounded by two dragons and also hanging above a cliff.

I like the particles like dust, It's something really needed and sometimes absent in some daz renders. And also the POV, overall nice shot there!

I love those particles as well, it's part of the Epic Light Props pack (an option to modify). They really add a lot to some renders. Pity it make the render times twice as long.

Yep, never give up. Love the way he gives tension in his hands and the posing of his lower body to give that feel he's really hanging on. Not easy to pull off, but again I know if anyone can...you can. Great angle too!

Thanks. Played a lot with the angle and the cropping here, glad it came out ok.

As others said before me: nice use of depth and lighting! It almost feels like the rock he holds on to would be loose in the next image and he'd get that panicked look on his face before he finds grip again.

Yeah, I can see that now. But I sure hope he won't fall down, the dragon below will be too happy. Can't overfeed those lizards, you know.

Yeah, your best enemies. When already out of the pit, one layer higher, dropping him off some other tower.

Thanks. That's exactly what I was going for - an action shot in between him falling down and getting back up.

Yep. Not sure which dragon is worse, but just hanging there isn't practical for sure.

Fantastic picture. The pose is brilliant- think the knuckles and face could have been a little more stressed. The lighting is superb!

Someone who met me some time ago said, "I'll die sooner than I give up. This is my inviolable honor, which I will take with me into the hereafter. "
Your picture reminds me of this strange encounter on the night train. When I look at it, I see Abraham in it, who shared with me a nearly desecrate waggon almost the entire journey.

Sometimes it's easier to die than to break your honor, it's a matter of priority to some people.

Oh, lovely! A little mysterious, too, but the composition is so eye-catching and the sense of energy so dynamic that I just get drawn in.

Chanteur-de-Vent In reply to Exstarsis [2017-09-14 17:25:03 +0000 UTC]
I tried to play a bit with a diagonal composition to add to the dynamics. It's supposed to be an action shot, hopefully he'll pull himself up in the next one.
