Description Blank stares in the blank room, filled with blank spaces... Now isn't that a story.

I've watched too much K-pop lately. And although the music is usually the level of pop music (good for a couple of runs and totally forgettable), I'm very intrigued by their costumes. Especially when they have a dance scene, filmed in two sets of costumes and they flash between those two sets, starting with one set and then switching to another. This piece is heavily inspired by that.

Clever looking scene, but I'm unfamiliar with Kpop, I'll have to look them up.

It's like Korean Pop music, usually groups of either young boys or girls, singing something about love.

Very well done! And what Tykey35 said. He summed it up far better than I could have.

Oh my goodness, this gives me shivers all up and down my spine. I think my favorite part is the color scheme, but the whole thing is just breathtaking. Definitely feels like a music video or album cover.

Glad it does. I played a lot with shaders and colors, before achieving the needed combination. Otherwise the parts wouldn't fit together at all...

My first thought upon seeing this was early 2000 boy band, then I read it. I think you easily nailed this one. Great job!@

That was kinda the point  -  a promo photo for a boy band. No matter which time and which music style, just an artistic way to portray them. Glad it came across.

Just watched it, damn it's bloody. I felt so bad for the boys getting beaten up.

Actually mostly this piece was inspired by their other clip "The Chaser" and Boyfriend's "Janus".

All I can think of is the 80's and MTV and Duran Duran... Seriously, it could be the group inner sleeve photo from an old LP. It even has that "modern art" feel from the 80's. Very well done.

I guess all boy bands have something similar to their allure. I've actually never heard of Duran Duran, but looking them up seems to show the same young spirit those Korean boys have now.

I don´t like K-pop. But the render is fantastic. And I will agree with Tykey.  Some of your work has a surreal hint and slightly dreamlike sometimes and I find it very cool and very interesting.

I'm not a particular fan of K-pop, but I really like their music videos. They have the same surreal things in them sometimes, with rooms moving in blocks, changing costumes, slow-motion changed off with fast-motion. It's fascinating to watch it, and very inspiring.

And their fans are all over the place. Especially on Youtube. No kidding. I just went to know what  K-pop was when a famous brazilian youtuber decided to react to one of their videos. Yeah, their videos are very different from what I'm used to.

I don't really care about fans. I barely read the comments. They're all full of "K-pop star #7 is so cutttteeee!" anyway. But the video's are very worth watching sometimes. Not all of them, but some are very artistic.

Wow, Sofya this is AMAZING! Never heard of K-pop but glad you found some inspiration in their style. I love these outfits and their casual array on the sofa. Very stylish and each unique, but obviously complimenting one another. But the surrounding is equally impressive in my opinion. The color scheme of the walls, the emptiness of the frames, and that reflective floor really make these guys pop out. Good grief, I love this. Really is one of your best, I think. Sharing this with a friend.

Just wanted to add, and I'm sure I've said this before, but you have a unique style. Clearly you do. There's a surreal effect or theme in so many of your pieces, and I think that's what originally attracted me to your work. Even in your photography. I suppose it's a little bit of the subject matter, lighting, and how you arrange the scene.

Wow, thank you so much. For noticing all the details, for appreciating the style and for seeing the surreal in this.

It started out as a simple portrait, I was trying to imitate one of those K-pop guys (young Korean singers, who use eyeliner a lot), then it started to kinda roll into a group. The environment was the hardest to make. Before the painting idea, it felt very empty. But adding the paintings with what was originally in them (random pictures) just scattered the attention. Putting the empty black canvas inside the frames was that needed decision who got the room from empty to focused.
