There has been one thing going through my head in the process of making this pic. I REALLY need to find an easy, less time consuming way of digitally inking pictures. Lineart scanned in directly from paper really doesn't come out as well as I want it to. Flash's "trace bitmap" option sucks to no end (unless you're after the Sonic style), using the pen tool in Photoshop is extremely long winded, and I lack the mouse skills to ink with a tablet. Blaarg. I keep hearing about Open Canvas from a lot of people. Is it actually any good?

Anyway, enough rambling. This is my entry for 's contest, in which you draw one of her fanfic characters cosplaying an anime and game character. I chose her character Zyla (cos she's fun to draw, yar.) cosplaying Yuna from Final Fantasy X-2 (cos I seem to be on a Yuna high right now, she seems to be finding her way into my sketchbook a lot these days...). I've also taken this opportunity to go for a more traditional cel shaded style, and also getting used to the pen tool for certain parts of the shading (which I have some nice results with, to be honest. ) I don't know, but I don't feel this came out too well, at least in my opinion. Might just be me being stupid, or feeling ultimately crap at art in general.
