At the moment, it's 65F/18C, which hardly feels like winter, and the humidity didn't make it any better. Β This is my attempt to convey that XD

Eventually I'll have a site up and sell some of my things as prints, but my first concern at the moment is getting through college and finding a job. Β Art is just a hobby for me right now, and unless I have a sense that I'd be able to make a reasonable, consistent bit of money from my artwork (which I do not), I'd prefer to wait until I feel like I have time enough to do so.

Honestly, I can't get over this piece. It's been my desktop picture since I've first seen it, and it always seems like something fresh and inspiring whenever I look at it.
Yeah, I think that making art to satisfy something within ourselves is a great motivation. My best video game project up to date was a project I'd started because I really wanted to play what I had in mind, regardless of others' take on it, and in the end many others ended up enjoying it as well.

I would prefer to manage prints manually -- I personally would want to sign them and know where they'd be headed off to, and hopefully I'll have some of my artwork up for sale as prints soon!

Nebulas and clouds are things I find very interesting looking and have tried to recreate in my artwork before. Β I've only made "one" nebula intentionally. Β This might need a fancier background color than just white for this particular image to look like one, but the starfield would be easy to add

I keep my uploads at small resolutions so that they don't wander as far around the internet, especially with stuff I intend to print or sell at some point. Generally, I wouldn't have any issues with uploading images of larger sizes, but I don't want my artwork used as stock or redistributed without permission (or used commercially without my approval and apt compensation), all of which has happened in the past. I prefer uploading at smaller resolutions rather than slapping watermarks on everything.
That doesn't mean I won't make wallpaper-size things in the future, or lack the ability to make wallpaper-sized things with the artwork that I have; I intend to make a few wallpapers like this -- and variants of this likely would be included in the mix -- but not until I have gotten a few tutorials done.
