OK, I finally finished the original drawing. I followed the advice of to make the whole image darker, more nightlike. I cleaned it up quite a bit as well.
Colored pencil on smooth bristol. Modified in GIMP.

quite a lovely drawing. reminds me of dreamy evenings in the arbaretum, dancing and singing with choice close friends underneath the stars, talking about life and traditions which lean back so far that they are more instinct than custom. friendship and mystery. love it.

For a while ^^
Well, after I came back from Ireland, I spend some weeks working a lot on various orders, so I wasn't around that much. Now I'm here more, but on Saturday I'll go to Rome for a few days, to meet my bf ^^

It's a pity, the world is big and so full of beautiful places... I went on my first vacation without parents when I was 16 (and I went too... guess? Ireland!

I've traveled some. I am into nature and go camping and hiking quite a bit. California is a beautiful state, I've been all over it. Plus many places in the US. I just have not been to another continent. I feel that I will travel more one day, probably when my youngest child, Olin,is more self sufficient. It's actually fine to travel with kids if they are behaved, its just that Olin is mildly handicapped. He needs lots of extra stuff. I can only really drive and not fly. Thats cool though, it gives me something to look foreward to. I cant wait to hear about Rome. Take pictures.

He's pretty great, I really love him. I know what you mean about the US. I like California, I am glad I live here. The Sierras are amazing as well as the coastline. Are you a student? What are you doing next?

I don't know if I will ever consider myself as a "grown up" (probably not) but officially I'm not a student anymore, I'm an artisan, I live by making, ehm, "fantasy stuff", that is mainly elf ears, then costumes, sceneryes, scenic objects, and whatever they ask me, if it's fantasy-related.

That's cool. I create and sell a lot of art. Jewelry and ceramics mainly. I don't make a living at it however. Maybe someday.
