It's finally finished. ^^ (more Sonic fanaaaart. <3) My improved colouring skills can be seen here! 8DThis was supposed to be completed sooner..but due to my exams and not knowing what to do with the rest of Shadow's body AND the background..it got put aside..
I adore my colouring for this picture..but I know that once I'll look back on this, I'll probably think that I sucked. O:
(P.S. I do not know how to draw handcuffs.)

Eh, this couple never looked right to me. Shadow's all....goth-like and Rouge just looks way too...glamour hussy to stand next to him and not dent his appearance. The images just don't mix, or fit like puzzles. It's not dymanic at all...which is why they look better in a "distance." Meaning, allies. There's not a chick in SEGA who fits Shadow's image, or just Shadow. Blaze could've, but she's too purple...
But the art's nice. Rouge's arm is a little too long, but I like their eyes. The coloring is good too, I think it's just the outlining around the body that could be better.

Really? People pair it because of their matching personalities and similarities or something, and then how friendly and 'happy to meet each other/help each other' they were in Archie comics. So I think that's where it came from. Other than that I mostly hear of Shadamy, Sonadow, and Shadouge. The second one is...aha. I'm in shock of how that's the most popular out of the three, with the first one mentioned being the second. I'm shocked that one's even the second most popular still. It's all good for fandom. For canon, pairing Shadow with anyone is just...no. Seems like they like having him with human chicks or something in SonicTeam (Molly and Maria). Blah.
Oh, okay. As long as it's intentional it's fine. I just thought at first it took away from the good quality of the coloring. That's photoshop?

Oh..I thought making the lines thinner would make the drawing look more smooth... AND NO! It's not photoshop. xD I'm really not skilled at photoshop. It's Paint tool SAI. Awesome program.

I get Sonadow too, I'm just not...er, I like women. Shadamy started with Sonic Adventure 2 (I don't know, once I saw those two scenes, particularly when he promised her something, I knew people would start shipping it like a drug), something else in Shadow the Hedgehog, and all the little reasons why people like dark/light pairs like Kovu and Kiara or...A Walk to Remember (the film), I'd say.
SAI? I've never heard of that...is it easier than photoshop?

Yeah..I thought so. I laugh to myself thinking she mistook Shadow for Sonic. Ha ah. Everyone's colourblind in the games. xD And yeah.. I adored "A Walk to Remember". xD So I totally get why people are fanatic over that concept.
Uhm. Really, I believe that it is. But the thing is...I'm not very skilled with photoshop myself, and I do know that some people are AMAZING at it, and that they can create great artwork with it as well. I still don't know all the functions and the tools of everything. -_-" To me, SAI's blending tools are waaaay better..and it's just looks simpler. D: A little less complex than photoshop, I would say.
I think you should check out some videos of people colouring with SAI. I find that the linework concept is VERY simple compared to photoshop, but hey, that's just my opinion. xD

That was just retarded. How can someone mistake the color black for the color blue? Even his silhouette is totally different from Sonic's. The difference sticks out like a sore thumb, and yet the whole country (in-game) kept calling him Sonic, as if they were calling all Americans (or whatever country they were meant to be in) blind dumbnuts. Quite frankly I thought he was meant to be a replica of Dracula or Edward Cullen, no kidding. That white chest fur just completed that vampire look for me.
Those two (Amy and Shadow), apparently they're 'friends' or something...or are just unnaturally nice to/about each other; potential friends. No okay, basically they're not meant to have a 'negative bond,' but instead of 'nothing,' a 'positive bond'...it's hard to really say that unless someone is looking/paying attention (a shipper more than anyone else normal). I think it was the "Miracle of Love" unlockable cutscene that drove shippers crazy in Shadow the Hedgehog with her being the only useless chara you earn nothing from by helping her (couldn't they pick something better other than a lost Rabbit and her pet chao?), while the rest is just SA2 based, some things Amy says for Sonic Battle, ShtH, and Sonic Rivals, but all in all it looks like they're meant to have a "bond" that's gone into in the most retarded, "we avoid but still drop hints" ways of SEGA. All the other fandom reasons are just analogies that have some kind of example linkage with A Walk to Remember, Inuyasha, Pride and Prejudice, Troy, 27 Dresses, The Phantom of the Opera, and The Sounds of Music...(lol at how these are REALLY not kiddy movies). Ha, don't forget Jackie and Hyde/Red and Kitty from That 70's Show. Urgh, and probably Twilight too.
There has been an interesting Manifesto that explained the shipping canonically and...fanonly without going fan girl hyper, especially when it's written by a fan (or two 
SAI's really that easy? Damn. I thought photoshop would be as simplified as it gets, since that's complicated to me too. I tried using it once and shit just hit the fan. I'll have to take you up on that one.

Photoshop just sorta bothers me. I really do believe that SAI is much more simplified. But you'll never know unless you try it out!
