If I had to choose a place to hid a portal, that would probably be it. Especially one leading to my favorite fantasy worlds.
This picture is just incredible! It feels very balanced in color and weight. The lighting of highlights and shadow is phenomenal, and the details are impeccable. If I'm not mistaken, I believe you're using a tetrad color scheme of red, orange, green and blue; The orange and blue being your primary complimentary pair (acting mainly as the lighting), while the red and green act as accents to the overall scene (green for her eye and red for her ribbon).
THIS, is just a masterpiece worthy of a Daily Deviation. Congratulations on being featured Charlie-Bowater; you definitely deserve it.

Even though those books took a long time, it was definitely worth it, this piece is beautiful. I love the expression on her face and how you captured the lighting being below her chin. I love that there's a slight breeze from the magical book shelf. I love the details in the books! Holy cow that really must have taken a long time! I also really like the perspective and how everything is just a little bit tilted towards the light. Anyways, amazing work!
