Detention. Again.
Fridays were always the worst. It was so close to the weekend, and some decent time alone together, they could almost taste it. Weekends usually meant staying at one or another's house; the week was busy with school and homework and there was usually a free house come the end of the week. The weekend meant freedom; freedom to be themselves. Going for long walks, holding hands, staying up late to watch movies and warm each other under covers...

And it was this excitement and non-stop chattering about it in every lesson of the day which had led them to being detained. Again.

"Don't worry honey... we'll be out of here soon enough." Aerith twirled her pen between her fingers and shot a sideways glance at her raven-haired friend. Tifa glared sullenly at their teacher as she wrote more unnecessary instructions in chalk for them to carry out over the next useless hour, with so much ferocity it was almost as if she intended to make her feel her stare through the back of her thick white hair.

"It's so pointless..." She whispered, her lips barely moving. "We could be out of here by now." She glanced down at her watch. "Twenty minutes ago in fact."

She turned her head to face her companion, her eyebrows furrowed slightly. "That's twenty minutes less I get to spend out of here with you."

Aerith smiled gently and rested her head on Tifa's shoulder, pressing her cheek into her long, dark hair. It smelled of summer.

"She'll be leaving us to it." She crooned softly, placing a kiss just above Tifa's shirt collar. "That's an hour more you get to spend with me in here."

This is a picture for as she loves it so much, and the story that goes with it too as for some reason she likes those as well. I got a little bit carried away and it's rather long, so if you read all of it and don't want to kill yourself by the end of it then you win an internet. Look after it; an internet is for life, not just an evening when someone you've probably never met declares you have one because you did something pointless.

Anyway, I'm very tired so if this isn't up to any particular standard you have my apologies now. Kerhys my dear I hope you like it.
