Here it is! I finally finished that 110 points commission for
This was the very first time I drew a background like this on photoshop, and with the help of some helpfull tutorials on Deviantart ( and photoshop's available brushes XD ) I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
*Aarok asked me to draw her lovely characters Jessica and her Dragon companion Aarok with an autumn like background. When I first saw their reference sheets I knew I would enjoy drawing them.
Although I did have to start Jessica's pose over again twice, because I didn't like it enough. X3 And still, there might be soem anatomy mistakes in there, because I didn't use any reference.

Now, that'd be quite complicated to explain.
The head depends on what the character's head looks like on the reference, and the body is a bit of a mix between a dog, a horse and a lizard.
I'm sure there are some useful tutorials around Deviantart on that subject though.

I don't really have a specific way of drawing dragon heads, so I'm not sure I can explain you how to do it.

Nice job on the dragon and his pose. In the future I would recommend avoiding the grass tool (for a better sense of a finished painting), or making your own. It avoids the overly photoshop look. Otherwise, the lighting here is really nice. You really captured a lazy evening. Good job!

It looks great, but I'd suggest not just using Photoshop's default brushes for the background. Why not trying making your own custom brush, then you can have it do exactly what you want?

Their lineart turned out a bit blurry due to the changes of the image's size though
