I agree, I barely play much games anymore beyond older games and indie games, because every game that's released anymore feels like it lacks the same heart and soul that older games had, like they're just being made for money and not as something that everyone can enjoy for days to come.

Agreed, and it's worse when a popular franchise is retooled in order to appeal to a more mainstream crowd, which results in it being dumbed down and removes everything that made it popular to begin with.
Point in case is Pokemon Go, which is now how non-Pokemon fans view the franchise now is simply that app, as if nothing before it existed, similar to what went on with the Transformers movies.

I prefer older games tbh I mean sure some new games are really good, fantastic even Dead Cells, Fallout 4, Enter the Gungeon, and most of the new Nintendo games just to name a few

I prefer older games as well, and while there are still plenty of good new games, there don't seem to be nearly as much in favor of a bunch of cheap, shovelware mobile games with lots of microtransactions, or bright, flashy FPS games that are copy-pasted from each other.

No, and I wish microtransactions never existed, because they're a perfect case of greed over gameplay, and quantity over quality. I rather not play a game that's super scammy and I spend most of my time paying money continuously in order to continue playing.

tbh the only games that do micro transactions right are Valve games because the items have actual value and because of that the games are able to have an entire economy

That's true, but the only game I feel it really works with is Team Fortress 2, since the DLC is 100% optional and the game is still playable without any of the umpteen kabillion hats or weapons... plus it's community is actually stable and passionate about the game, unlike those of other games of the same genre.
Compare that to Fortnite, which is the COMPLETE opposite of TF2 in every way you could imagine, with seemingly mandatory micro-transactions, as well as an incredibly unstable fandom that berates anyoen and everyone who plays with default settings and doesn't conform to spending money constantly just to continue playing.

yea and plus the dlc is freaking cheap just buy something from the mann co store which the cheapest thing there is 50 cents compared to 40 dollar dlc on other games
