My second attempt of a coloured drawing, since my first one in 2007 failed miserably (You can see it in my scarps), chose a pic with plenty of colour and who else to pick but Katy? This is just a practice piece so don't be too harsh!I think it turned out okay, it's far from perfect, I used basic non professional water coloured pencils that are barely blendable but when I can afford it I'm getting some Prismacolor to try more coloured drawings, it's kinda fun.

I could be wrong but I notice along the bang line that the blue is a little extended beyond the hairline. Even so this piece is remarkable.

Love the blue with black for the hair! I do like your non-coloured portraits better, but this is still incredible.

the water coloured pencils take much longer to blend..u have to use a lot of layers because they are very soft (most of my pictures take 40 to 100 hrs depending on the size) i prefer them for that reason because they work more like paint once you get the layers on. as long as u dont gleek on them they turn out stunning.
