Description "Cedric and Cho were close to Harry too; he looked away from them so he wouldn't have to talk to them. His eyes fell instead on the girl next to Krum. His jaw dropped.
It was Hermione.
But she didn't look like Hermione at all. She had done some-thing with her hair; it was no longer bushy but sleek and shiny, and twisted up into an elegant knot at the back of her head. She was wearing robes made of a floaty, periwinkle-blue material, and she was holding herself differently, somehow - or maybe it was merely the absence of the twenty or so books she usually had slung over her back. She was also smiling - rather nervously, it was true - but the reeduction in the size of her front teeth was more noticeable than ever; Harry couldn't understand how he hadn't spotted it before. Hermione looks a bit like Sarah Palin and she and Cedric seem a bit... awkward, for lack of a better word, but other than that this is awesome!

I've never seen Sarah Palin before you mentioned her. She really reminds her.
And there is no Cedric. It is Ron and one of the Patil sisters if you're talking about couple at the background.

I've looked at this picture many times now, and finally put a fave on it. Silly me for not doing so long ago! Definitely one of the BEST yule ball drawings ever.
Your Hermione and Krum are just how I pictured them in this scene. The costume design is excellent, actually.
The colors, the expressions....absolutely lovely.
Major love for this!

Thank goodness someone (you, obviously) finally drew Hermione's dress the right color! I hate that just about everyone that draws Hermione in her dress at the Yule Ball goes with the movie version. It totally annoys me. Anyways, very pretty picture!!!

Only "complaint" is that her smile doesn't look very nervous.. Except for that she really resembles the way she is described in the quote..

lovely job but this seen is why i loved seeing him be killed in hostel part 2 he's basically a pedo why was he messing w/ a 14yr old he was 18 & definately seemed 2 be u 2 something I agree whole heartedly with ron's suspicions all though Krum is dumb as a box of hair so Hermione cause easily outsmart him or curse him severally (with something he never heard off & won't have a counter 4 cause she reads 2 damn much) if he tried anything sexual
