Marie Antoinette - Worn at Sydney Supanova 2007

It was a great relief to be able to finally wear this, after months of work. While it is not a direct outfit from the movie, it IS inspired by it as I choice to go with the slightly simpler style and lovely bright colors. The whole dress was, infact, inspired by the lovely striped cotton used in the underskirt, which I found on EBay.

I hope to make a small steel set of panniers in the near future but as I was going to be in a crowded place, I was only wearing lightweight plastic boned pocket hoops.

I am SO glad my hair worked out! *dances* I have over three feet of hair so getting it all carefully piled on my head, curled and then powdered was an effort but one very worth it when it worked out so well. I will have to curl my hair more often!!
