Sydney, Jan 27/2007 - What started out as my local Cosplay group organizing a loli themed picnic and inviting other local cosplayers and loli fans, quickly turned into what has now been called the Australasia Lolifest. Loli events were held all over Australia and New Zealand, all on the same day and the turn out was really great. Fingers crossed but we hope to do it again next year, with even more participants.

This is the outfit I made for the picnic in Sydney. I call it my Tartan & Cherries Lolita. The black fabric is covered in tiny cherries and my pendant also has them on it while the red plaid has gothic script and crowns across it.

It's very French in styling and you can blame this on me watching Marie Antoinette and Slipper and the Rose while making it. I had originally intended a small matching tricorn to go with it but it didn't quite work out. Maybe for the next outfit.
