Grant is now confronted with Indiana Jones *cough* excuse me, Esmerelda Jones, who is a ‘lunatic activist’ according to him. It appears they have met before. Esme has gotten out of her old guild and gotten the opportunity to select another one, a privilege not usually afforded Eynhallow inmates. The new prime minister that Grant was whining about earlier signed the transfer papers personally. Kore meanwhile is actually reading people’s minds, but is chalking it up to a. hallucinations or b. her business acumen. In fact, now that she thinks about it, she knows where she is, the Farallon Islands, where she was on a fishing vacation. She does some rationalization over everything, but in the end we all know who is managing all this elaborate setup.

Synopsis:

Aging telepath Evil Overlord Xander has traded his youthful dream of joining the US military and using his superpowers to benefit humanity for over-the-hill cynicism, self-imposed exile on his private zoo-for-crazy-people Eynhallow Island, and a serious case of May-December midlife crisis. And technically it's only kidnapping if she tries to leave.
