Description
"So, ah.."
"What is your home like?" The tired blond would ask, his usual upbeat essence drained entirely and replaced with the edgings of interest. Nysien tried to have at least a small grin for the boy at his side - he was kind enough to lead him out of this place, after all.
I was left to my own devices
Many days fell away with nothing to show
Still - the male would toss glances over his shoulder, his stormy eyes melancholic for what he'd be leaving behind... And he wasn't quite ready to return back to Elkenbough without a good story, and just failures ever since he left...
And the walls kept tumbling down in the city that we love
Grey clouds roll over the hills, bringing darkness from above
However, a thought crossed his mind, and his pierced ears pricked from their drooping.
"Is there a forest?" Nysien asks in a hopeful tone, unconsciously drawing his steps closer to the other golden boy.
"Oh, someone of your manner would love it. Home is big, and wide, and beautiful. Our land offers some of the greatest views around," answered the gold without skipping a beat.
They'd been traveling for quite some time together. He had been growing eager for this strange new male to meet the rest of his pack. He felt confident in swaying this male - Nysien, was it? Anyways, he was certain he'd follow.
He wasn't sure why a wolf like him had been alone, but surely there would be answers back in the den site. Better to get him there, than to waste any further time here.
The other sandy wolf's grin widened in response to the other's reassurance, and a content sigh left his jaws. He was already convinced, as the desert was quite a ways behind him now, and the mainlands he strode upon were sorely missed.
He had no choice but to look forward from now on - and hope that this Fenri would lead him to a better from now on.
And in the distance in the early late summer night, Nysien prayed to the God-Spirits that it wasn't another mirage and his paws froze.
A flower field.
As the other boy turned to glance at him, Nysien teared up.
And broke into a run towards the expanse, with a characteristic smile that had been missing for far too long.
With the other boy in tow, Nysien wouldn't look back again.
But if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like nothing changed at all?
And if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like you've been here before?
How am I going to be an optimist about this?
How am I going to be an optimist about this?
