Yeah, and this is where someone gets punched out. I wouldn't be surprised if Zonic demands that Zilver help him catch Scourge now. Probably too late, though.
When is Zilver going to shut off the display on his visor so we can see his eyes? I'm totally waiting for the moment of realization that he just did something majorly stupid.

So...in order to make sure, criminals won't be able to cause crime in the future......they need to let a criminal get free and able to cause crime...? Even if Scourge wasn't the wrong guy to begin with, I think Zilver needs to re-think he's plan in order to save the future.
