Alaina Brookstone doesn't know much about her mother, only what her father, Athalas has told her. She follows the the deity Pelor like her father, as he was a cleric of Pelor. She learned things from combat to minor healing magic from him. She would constantly ask about her mother though in his final days as he grew old he decided to tell her everything. Her mother was of elven royalty from a forest clan. She was actually engaged to another but she fell in love with her father. Athalas described her mother, Aleia as the epitome of beauty and that some of her people believed her to be the physical incarnation of the deity Ehlonna. However as she was royalty and was betrothed to another, the elders of her clan did not take lightly of her refusing to be wed to someone she did not truly love, especially since she ran away with Athalas. During the time she was on the run with Athalas was when Alaina was born. But before she was old enough to remember, Aleia decided that she would go home to her clan and face her punishment. For like all deities taking physical form in the material plane, time is limited. That was the last time Athalas saw Aleia. Upon hearing these final words from her father about her mother was when she decided to adopt her human half. Taking extent to hide her ears and her heritage to elves. Opting for a sword in combat over a bow unless the situation was dire and required it. Magic was the only thing she practiced enough to maintain as it was something her father taught her, though she still disliked it as elves are known for healing and nature magic.
