Congratulations on the DD. You did a wonderful job here. I agree with you, too. Mermaids and their ilk (thinking Sirens here) can be "jerks" that lead many a ship to grief. Another meaning to "on the rocks" for the poor sailors. Thank you.

Thanks! I don't keep track, or do anything all at once, but probably 5 or 6 hours altogether. Good markers make a huge difference. Woulda taken 12 with Expo.

This is amazing. I find it odd that the mermaid's arm and the ship are the only two "gray" things among the black and white, but it doesn't really take away from the careful, still beauty of the drawing.

Thanks! The thing is, I did these things pretty casually. The hull I wanted a highlight on at the bow to describe the bend of the wood. The arm I just got lazy.

It lasted one day finished and one of my clients put a finger right through the hull. No big. They all get erased anyhow.
