Pokemon Challenge day 1Favourite Basic Pokémon
Meowth
Back when red and blue came out, I insisted on getting blue. Because I wanted to catch a Meowth. Back then, mostly because I was a catlover.
I caught one. Never named it. And it never was to leave my party again.
In that blue edition I always kept it in my party. And its payday attack granted me to always have a full purse.
One day I was challenged by a boy in our towns comic hall.
He had a good Charizard. A “good” one. And at first he laughed at me for having a silly puny Meowth at first space. He realised too late that my Meowth was level 100 and it paydayed charizard into kingdome come.
Meowth is still my favourite basic pokemon. There may be more fancy and strong basic pokemon, but meowth has all my nostalgia ( and virtual pokemon money )

Omgosh this is darling. X3 I love the pose, and how Meowth is carrying some coins away. XD Like *Simply-Scarlet said, I love what you said. XD It's so awesome and catching that boy in the comic hall off guard by killing his Charizard and with payday no less, must've been such a priceless moment. XDDD Hahaha

it wasnt that i was bad. I was just too lazy to change my deck. So I went there every week with the same dck. so it was perfect to test out the pros and cons of a deck compared to another deck.

It's actually a good idea, for those reasons that you've said. I haven't thought of using a deck over and over to test the pros and cons like that, except in the video game that is. XD Haha

we had some 14 year olds, who knew the deck building work as if it was their doctors degree. I am still amazed about that.

I bought the blue version as well because of Meowth (and Persian) . Can't say I was devoted as you, but they are one of the best XD

not really. Team Rockets Meowth is actually a damn good person with a moving backstory and an enthusiasm that many people should take as a good exsample. Also it provided us with one of the smartest and most moving lines in animation history.

Yeah, I know, but I still find him annoying. And the kids around here all treated him as a bad guy and mane fun of others who liked Meowth

I love what you've written here. This is wonderful. I love the pretty Eeveelutions and pretty Ninetails and Vulpix, but Meowth is over and above all my favorite. I truly feel your sentimentality and nostalgia with which you write in your description!
I wasn't allowed to watch the Pokemon anime because it wasn't "educational." I knew NOTHING about Pokemon. I was, I dunno...8. I was a sensitive kid. My sister and her boyfriend (in high school) come home one day and they sit down to watch Pokemon. I was of course upset they got to do something I didn't. So mom told me to get crayons and we'd color. I go to get the crayons and I intentionally go through the living room to see what I could of Pokemon. The episode was (I learned MANY years later) "Go West Young Meowth." I saw Mewoth and the line I heard was something to the extent of "You're a dirty street Meowth with no money."
Something in that line just broke my sensitive little 8 year old heart. To this day I sleep with a battered old Meowth plushie barely the size of my fist under my pillow. It is so wonderful to hear someone else's nostalgic story about a Meowth.

Another nice thing to note about meowth is, that it said one of the best lines in animation history:
"We do have a lot in common.
The same air, the same Earth, the same sky.

I know! Meowth was always cracking bad puns, but then suddenly out of no where he comes up with this incredible thoughtfulness. Just...warms my still very sensitive heart!
