Since it has literally been months since I've gotten to play in Photoshop, I needed to draw something to shake some of the rust off. I fully intended these to be little hour speedpaints to warm up for real pictures, but my own sense of perfectionism ran away with any hopes for that. Instead, you get two loose illustration pieces, both born from the same sketch. I finished the lady on the right first, decided she was boring, and went back and redid the whole thing from my base painting. I like the left lady, but decided I spent too much time on the right one to just trash her.They are starbringers. Left lady brings the night sky, right lady brings star nurseries into cosmic life.

These are fantastic! You're getting better, lady! I'm glad you posted them together; the dichotomy between them works really well. I really think you should consider doing illustration. You've got a distinctive style, and a natural lean towards pieces with a storytelling flair. Just sayin'.
