Description It's November, which means I've been working hard on my NaNoWriMo project which, like the past three years, has been The Tunorea Chronicles. There is a certain event that is supposed to take place during this book and when working out how to get that done Jon here came about. A while back I had posted about a writing challenge, a character created directly from the input of others. Well, I never got all the input I needed and so I had to bow out of the challenge BUT I did take some of the more interesting aspects people gave me and presto, we have Jon here.

Jon is FAR more then he appears however, for he is NOT an elf at all but rather a Red Dragon from the clans of the northern continent. Jon represents the introduction my readers will get TO the dragon clans, albeit, a brief one for now. And yes, that IS a tiny ruby attached to his claw.

Ok, now I gotta go back to that journal and figure out what I introduced for the character that I can find here.

I am curious to see how you'll pull that off.

LOL Well, I couldn't pull off the hair - I would have to have Mavrosh's skills to pull that off

But, I did an interpretation for the clothing, and you can see one of his weapons in this one.

I think I could pull off the hair, but it would require endless diddling with individual braids. Which would be really really annoying.
I picked this set up some time ago: www.daz3d.com/spring-of-76-wil… - I think you can load the braids without the rest of the hair. I've used it a few times for stuff. Then it would be just a matter of finding all sorts of buttons and stuff to use instead of the three beads.

LOL Or, in other words, putzy work.

Hrm, never seen that one before, thanks. Might be worth picking up for an attempt with it later, just on a different character... maybe Jon's brother... hrm...

lol Sadly I wasn't able to pick it up before my membership expired, so my plans for it's use will have to wait. Not like it's the only image I have sitting on my computer that's been started but not completed because I don't have something I need to finish it. hehe

I hear ya. It's an older model and not updated to V4 even, so it can wait.

Well, if I'd had the money I would have gotten it. Never have had a problem with manually adjusting things for my needs. And it looks like I might just be able to get my membership back soon. With any luck I will be getting a partial payment for a website I did here soon.

Making money sounds cool. And all the tweaking and twooking is part of the fun, right?

It can be - it can also be the maddening part heh
Luckily I'm also stubborn.
Now I'm working on redoing MY site which is serious need of an update.

LOL Well, I've been doing this for - damn, almost twenty years now - okay, feeling old again
Funny thing is, I did this website for a local nail salon and for some reason she let herself be talked into a new site and stuff from a bigger firm (they claimed they could do more for her then me as a "smaller firm") and no matter what they presented to her she didn't like it, because of how much she likes what *I* did for her. Kinda puffed me up a little.

And sadly, I used to have a LOT of websites that I ran just to have a way to show off new layouts I'd put together. Now I just try to change the look of existing sites instead.

*grumbles*  Totally off-topic, but my render machine got infected so badly that my final decision was Format C and reinstall. Can't get any version of DAZ to recognize the runtime. I put it right back where it's always been. It FOUND it, but it's not finding some elements that it refuses to work without. It keeps telling me to make sure the link to the contents folder is correctly set up, which it is - as far as I can tell. O.O

Ugh, I had that happen once - and for the life of me I cannot remember how I fixed it but I do remember that I did manage to do so. It didn't fix *everything*, I had some files that wouldn't pull up the data correctly and I had to manually go in and tell it where to find things and then save the scene all over again. Still don't understand what causes that to happen to be honest.

I think I figured it out. I went to the DAZ help site and looked around and found out that the Post WinXP versions of Windows don't allow access into the Programs folder for program contents, contrary to how DAZ used to run, so the contents folder has to be moved outside of the Programs folder. I'm gonna try that.
