Yoite from Nabari no ou. i did this for a dear friend of mine who donated some points anonymously to me last week. I've been upset lately but when I saw the donation i felt...I can't describe it but it was a day maker. This is also an early birthday present. I hope you like this ! ^^Related content

This is an insanely good portrait. I love pencil portrait work, it's kinda my thing, and this is just a Stunning example of that, and of one of my absolute favorite characters too. Bravo!

Well, it might take me a drawing or ten. Seems like the more I like a character, the harder a time I have translating their face well.

yea I'm that way too. I always feel really unconfident on how the face will turn out because you want to do them justice but for some reason I just can't get the portrait to look the way I want it. Going over and over with the sketch helps...it is tedious though haha.

One of the problems I have, is that I tend to warp the face a little as I shade it. This is because I don't really have any form of consistent reference, I'm just visualizing in my head. A very subtle bit of shading can torque the whole bottom half of a face one way or the other...in other words, sometimes I drive myself crazy, hehe.

aaaaah that sounds familiar. i totally get what you mean. sometimes i hate coloring because of just that, it can mess up a part of the art and you feel as if you have to do it over and over and over until you get it right @.@ its exhausting lol i feel your pain. sorry it took me soloing to respond. I have a going on with final exams, due portfolios and what not. plus thanks giving was eventful swell. and i get what you mean , when you haven drawn for so long and you just want to spill it all out on paper to get it out because its been held in for way to long. I'm sorry you hurt your tendon though! D: I'm sure you will be able to finesh something in no time! me on the other hand, I'm not so sure about lol

I've been very slowly getting more stuff drawn. I'm having to go real slow and easy on my tendon, which is absolute torture for me, but on the other hand, I don't want to go another whole week without drawing anything, so slow and easy it is.
So an eventful Thanksgiving? Hopefully it was a good one too!!
