Well, it's a crap picture but it's the only one I have at the moment. This is before he got ill. This is the most recent picture that my mum has of him atm, 10 years ago. This is the grandad that I like to remember, not the fragile old man that he was the last 4 years of his life.The writing, now that I look at it, sounds a bit crap and cliched. If you're wondering what I was talking about with the lorry...that is how he was named. His parents were expecting a girl so they didn't have any names for him. His dad saw a lorry with Dennis on the front and thought that it would make a perfect name. Hence why it had two 'N's.
I might redo it later...when I get a better picture. And think of a new way to do it. But for now this will have to do. I wanted to do a tribute and I've completed it. Please...let me know what you think.
EDIT: Let me just say as well...the day he died...was friday the 13th. How unlucky.

Normally when your first name is Dennis it's spelt with one N, Denis. He's the only Dennis I know with 2 Ns. The Denis (My bro-in-law) is spelt with one N and Kev's boss is one N too

Ditto what you just said to Meg. And...my Grandad died on 9/11, which was also my mum and dad's wedding anniversary, so, I get the unlucky feeling from you. But this isnt about me, its about you, and I think that even if you are unhappy with what you've done [which you shouldnt be], what matters is that you have done SOMETHING, just something, and thats more than nothing, and im sure he'd be happy

No...you don't. He died a couple of days before his birthday and his 51st anniversary. That's also a bit of a downer. And the 13th too. A very unlucky month.

It's good that you've put your thoughts about him into a tangible form. I found that writing how I felt about Ken's death made me feel a whole lot better afterwards. You know that me and the rest of the 'pack' are right here for you, Vee.

Thank you. That idea that I have my small circle of friends there for me helps. I'm going to admit here, I have felt very depressed at times. But, the idea that I have friends and they're there for me it helps pull me through
