Haha, yes!

But we've got less than a month to ready everything, and my team has done nothing as of yet.

How did you render it like that? Whenever I render something in inventor, it always comes up flat and blocky, no matter which settings I change :<

Try to play around with the lights. Mine was blocky until I repositioned some of the lights.

Pretty. What scale do you have in mind for this thing?

I didn't mean it to, but it's actually quite massive.

The length of the barrel of the dual gatling guns is actually around 1.75m, the height of an average Asian male.

I think this is about the time where i jump up and down screaming "I want your talent! I want your skill! I want it now!" But i must say i agree with Aeyolscaer, the red spheres do bother me a little. A great job nonetheless. Keep it up!

I quite like this piece as well.
As for the using blender, it's price is right, but I agree that some of the higher ticket items are hard to let go of.

(Having said that I'm using Bryce and similar myself because they're dirt cheap. I miss having access to a University lab with all the good toys.)

Hahaha. My school's labs have 3Ds 8, but I still can't be bothered to learn how to model in that .

Thanks for your comment!

I don't understand much about 3D modeling and rendering, but to me it looks amazing already. Only the red blobs are a bit irritating.

Have you tried participating in blender community forums to learn how to use blender efficiently? If I were you, I'd give it a try.

Thanks a lot for your comment.

One of my friend is currently learning Blender, and I'm trying to pick up skills here and there.

But I still like Inventor's modeling process .

Yeah, Blender is fairly decent for something free, and comparable in a few aspects to software like 3Ds or Maya, but I still can't get used to 3D modeling in those programs after years of using Autodesk Inventor.

I've seen great models and subsequent renders done in Blender, and I still don't get the way how stuff is modeled there .

And thanks for adding my first comment!

Why not use Blender? It comes with some decent renderers.

I've seen some photorealistic stuff rendered with yafray and POVray.

The model is great, poor rendering engine or not.
