Description One thing many people do at the beach is take pictures, especially sunsets. It is an amazing light show we get when the atosphere is just right, and we stive in vain to capture it on film.

This photo was taken in the spring of 2000 at Cape San Blas, Florida.

I like the lighting in this picture,I like how it reflects the time of day, with the sand being blue and I love how the water is gray with the pretty pink bits of reflection of sky!! lovely capture!!

Thanks again.
The sand around here is very white and it does capture the colors of the sky.
Going to do some macros of it some time.

I think those colors and textures alone make interesting abstarcts.

Just by you saying that reminds me of this artist here in Wisconsin, where she meditates in water(like a lake or ocean for example) and while she is meditating she holds the paper in the water and then starts to splash watercolors on it, and sometimes rubs in like sand or dirt from the sands and then lets it dry. she then draws in with colored pencil what ever shapes she sees, and she comes out with these amazing pieces. I wish she had some stuff on a website, but unfortunately not...I have attempted her style, but mine is not as good, but it was a lot of fun...here is the link to mine!! [link] but I think i over did it with the drawing part of it!!

Can't wait to see your new pieces!! I have not done too much in abstacts before, but I like different textures, and it is always fun to experiment!!

I enjoy abstracts too, especially if it is from the real world. The last of the abalone paints turns into an abstract as I focus in on the mother-of-pearl inside the shell.

My daughter spent a lot of time working in inks and paints like Pollock. Hopefully she will become part of DeviantArt. Love for you to see her work.
