I LOVE THAT GIRL! I love the Crystal Heroine too, by the way, very very much. But I love Kotone (I name her like that also in my game) A LOT
I'm half through the game, about to enter Kanto very soon. I'm still seeking a chikorita if anyone is interest in trading XD (My game is in french, so I can send you a french ditto for shiny breeding!)
But on this pic, I just wanted to draw something interesting with Kotone on it. Which I failed. So I scanned this simple lineart and turned it into red... I got inspired and play with colours.
I wanted to do something very bright, and very saturated, something I never actually do. I like how the colours ended up being
Also Cyndaquil might be one of my favourite pokemon ever <3

First of all, I love the tiny little badges on her bag! Second of all, I love that tiny crocodile's pose, like it's saying "Mommy, I wanna hug hug! pick me up!" The three pocket monsters here are just adorable. The colouring of this drawing is so bright and shiny! (oh noes! XD) It's just full of life! XD

Awwww I like it. First you saw the pokemon picture you were full of anger and now you are all sweet! I feel like I soften you a bit. Well not that I make you like it, just that now you don't hate my drawing because of it!!
That's the thing I like and always liked about pokemon. You are not alone, you have friends, more intelligent than animal yet not enough human to hurt you and hate you. It's just friendship and partnership. And I love that whole videogame with that girl and those pokemon (its from Heart Gold Pokemon) But details, detail! I wanted it bright and ... sort of... you know, mixing colours of the same tone XD

Cyndaquil is definitely my favorite pokemon. <3 I always pick Cyndaquil in the games.
You did really good with the colors, in my opinion, even though you don't usually do something bright. ^^

Thank you XD I always like really bright artwork with flashy colours, but never get around to use them. It's like I remember afterward that I can slack on the grew and put hot pink everywhere XD But that new pokemon game is SO BRIGHT! Everything is so saturated with colours, its so pretty. I'm always amazed at how my little quilava has bright red and yellow fire on his head. Tried to stick with that XD
I really liked the badges, and I had a bit of a hard time drawing them, because they were so small >.< I think they are a bit too big, but I really wanted to showcase them (cause if I had all those badges for real, I'd wear them visibly cause... you know, the hard fights to get them)

I'm actually the opposite, I do lots of bright stuff but have to remember "you can actually use more black here! Or less saturated colors!" I think it's just part of being an artist. XD
I think you did great on the badges, and hell, they're probably the right size. Check the pokedex and see the size of some of those pokemon in comparison to your little sprite... and your sprite is barely 5' tall! It's a little tiny person thing.
