Lucifer: Gabriel claims that he and Lucifer are best friends and mirror images/twins. They are actually half brothers, both having an English father and Asian mothers. Lucifer and Gabriel have been friends since they were very young, and both were found at the doorstep of a Starfighter as infants, two years apart. They were both taken in and trained, although they were trained separately - one as a Navigator, and one as a Fighter. They reunited and were put on the same team years later, and as they had seen each other around the base frequently, they were already close friends. They only later discover that they're related. Gabriel's the one who holds back Lucifer when he gets angry, and also is the only person other than Raphael and Michael who doesn't resent Lucifer for his personality. Lucifer is also the first person Gabriel came out too.

Raphael: Gabriel and Raphael met by accident, due to Raph's crush on Lucifer. They became close even though at first, Gabriel was rather scared of the other male. But in the end, they became close friends and had started to have tea together. Raph acts as if he is an older cousin to Gabriel, caring and spoiling the younger teen when he deems it fit.
