I never saw how Chris, physically, being an adult would have made much of a difference in the last season, considering they were going against genocidal plants wearing indestructible armor. Molly, Leon, and the rest of their crew, had to have at least been young adults, had training in combat, and they still got killed because they had become so tired and desperate to end their war with the Metarex.(I'm talking about the general fandom's opinion on this whole subject, here. Not anyone in specific.)
Don't get me wrong. It would have been cute to see adult!Chris acting like some kind of big brother figure towards Cosmo in that episode with Dark Sonic, see him fumbling with things that are too small for him, bumping his head on ceilings, or reactions like in this picture.
