i finally made a character scetch of Reyna
I think she is one of my favourite characters....
this is a scetch where i practised to work with a thin fineliner (a christmas present
)..i usally use pencil, so i think this is okay. you could say Reyna looks too old, but she has gone through so much and thats how i imagine her. i hope you like it!

The only real thing I would maybe say is off is that she doesn't look quite as hardened as I would imagine her to be---but I think during the times that she's alone, this would fit her very well

I love this. Reyna has always been one of my favorites and people always make her look so mean. It's nice when someone else sees her as a more reserved figure rather than cold.

jep..but she nd Jason just don´t fit together. they may be a great pair of Praetors, but they would suck as a couple. imagine them on a party! they are both so strict and formal and all - the would mess up all the fun.

I like that she is wearing the old Roman soldier's boots (Though they appear to lace a little higher than the Romans wore them). I've always wondered where the line was drawn in the blending of old and new in Camp Jupiter. When RR describes Reyna she is wearing her gold armor over a purple T-shirt and is also wearing a purple cape. However, the artist rendering of Reyna shows her in a purple toga which was not exactly described or really functional. I could understand in the senate, but not in the camp. Well, RR knows the historical significance of detail continuity, the artist, alas, does not. Sorry for the drawn out comment, I'm sure a lot of this was unimportant to you.

RR is working very hard to portray Reyna as regal and royal. I mean, even her name! So I think that there is a possibility that she is depicted in the formal toga and imperial armor to appear more 'royal' in nature. Her character does seem to fit that status. Side note, I don't like that they all wear purple. The Roman army wore scarlet and I think that would look a little more fierce on the Roman legion than purple.

yep, but i like her that way, she´s just the perfect image of a queen. she can control her self just well, and she has a lot of authority and strenght, but still a bit of humor...and i don´t like it that they´re dressed all in purple, too. Camp half blood does not wear orange all the time, too, does it? i think scarlet would be better, if they really have to cloth the same way all the time.

Anyway I love how you've done Reyna, it really echoes her personality in the book. Also thanks for adding her dogs because it reminded me of Reyna telling percy their names Silver and gold in latin and he was gonna ask which one lol
