Death is a part of life. I didn't kill this animal. It was already dead when I bought it. Please no harsh comments.I am a nice person and accept other opinions. This is Snowblue. My cute lil' Snowblue. She is small, cuddly, soft, cute, sweet, beautiful and I love her for being all that. I got her on the flea market. She wasn't all cheap compared to other stoles sold there, but I just HAD to buy her; I guess you all know why. Normally I hate these types of eyes, but her's aren't that creepy and weird-looking. Her's give her a really cute face, almost as if she was a Chibi. Chibi Snowblue. Let's make that a thing.
She is actually pretty small and despite her tiny tail and her big ears, she could be a juvenile fox, but I'm not sure.

Here is her head form, just as I am beginning to set the eyes. Here she is on my work bench. I am getting ready to do a 'mini-tutorial on her ears. I'm using a new (to me!) type of fiber based ear liner called 'celastic ear liners'. You soak them in hot water, shape them, and when they dry there are hard again. There may also be more WIP pics of her in her gallery folder (?) The process for making her is pretty much the same as Montana's. I did a Tutorial on his construction as a series of 7 journal articles. There is a link to this series in his gallery folder.

Naja, ich glaub sie sieht auf dem Foto ein wenig dunkler aus, als sie in Wirklichkeit ist. Es ist total lustig, wenn man bei seinen Fellen einfach durchs Fotografieren auf Dinge draufkommt, die einem sonst nicht aufgefallen wären. Ach, wenn du zu mir kommst, zeig ich dir sowieso alles

You're so right! It's easy to get a common silver or red fox stole in a bad condition for a cheap price, but it is so hard to find a good one! Snowblue actually was cheap for a stole, but expensive in comparison to other stoles sold on the flea market. But she was definitely worth the price despite her cute- and fluffiness <3

I've been curiously ebay'ing stoles and the only ones that come up are damaged reds or just minks. There's a blue or two that are GORGEOUS but of course the seller wants 200+ for them. Sheesh.

I only got stoles which are probably old. That's the main reason most of them aren't really soft. But Snowblue is, probably because she's an arctic fox. The leather on my stoles is still a bit flexible and not hard, but definitely not as soft and flexible as a newer pelt would be. Well, in the end it all depends on the age and condition

That's nice! Although ranched foxes are nice, I also love wild reds, especially with the orange-red-white coloration on their necks. I wish I had a red fox stole that has the quality of Snowblue
